About Me

Hi, I'm Shelley and I am the founder of S.A.W Consulting. 

 

I have been in the world of Umbrella for 15 years, 11 of which were spent at Optionis, The market-leading provider of accountancy, tax and umbrella employment solutions to contractors and small businesses.

Over those 11 years I was an integral part of the business, involved in all major legislative changes and being instrumental in the growth and success of the business.

I have experience of running both back office teams such as Sales Ledger and Credit Control and I am passionate about good customer service, transparency and compliance, having also held the position of Head of Service Delivery.

​

My last leadership position at Optionis was Group Sales Director. Responsible for strategic and operational sales leadership across all six of the Optionis Group brands, leading an overall sales team of 60+ through motivational and engaging leadership. 

​

I have a friendly but professional approach to work, and I promise to make the work we do together fun (even the compliance parts), but effective!

 

I am passionate about helping umbrella companies be the best they can be. This industry often gets a hard time, but I know first hand how many honest, hardworking and compliant businesses there are trying to do the right thing.

Outside of work, I live in Cheshire with my husband, 2 children and 2 cats. I am a huge Liverpool fan, I enjoy cooking, shopping and drinking lots of coffee.

I also run The Introverted Entrepreneurs Club, encouraging and supporting fellow introverts to take the leap from the corporate world to self employment.
